Thanks to your help and great support, I understand how product parts and raw materials work and establishing a BOM accordingly. However, there is one area I am not sure how to set up. When a customer buys a product from our store, we send them the product in a box with a couple of inserts (a thank you card and a plastic sealable bag). However, the box we use is determined not by the product they buy, but how many of them. Also, we only supply one thank you card and one sealable plastic bag per order, regardless of how many items are bought. So if the customer bought one product, we would send this in a small box with one thank you card and one plastic sealable bag. However, if the customer bought two products (they may be the same or different products of course), we would send both products in a medium box, but still only send one thank you card and one sealable plastic bag.
Is there a way to incorporate these scenarios into the BOM and to ensure all our stock is correctly marked down, including the right box and right number of other product parts?
