Hi Gab78
I'll be glad to clarify any doubts you may had 😉
think your plugin is easily doing this, no?
Indeed. With our Multi-Inventory add-on, you can do so
What if I'm from Italy but I want to buy something as a gift for a friend in USA? I will see the Italian stock in this case but actually what I need is the US stock as the product will be sent from US.
If you use the region restriction functionality (https://forum.stockmanagementlabs.com/t/region-restriction-mode) and set up the shipping zones restriction mode, the customer's shipping address is what ATUM will use to get the correct stock for any inventory.
I think it is possible to set the stock based on customer address too but in this case what would happen if you set USA as country and the quantity of the product in that warehouse is 0? You cart becomes empty?
In this case I only see the availability in checkout section once set my address?
Exactly. If you change the shipping address at checkout and there is no stock available in the new location would happen the same as when you try to buy something but when you reach the checkout someone else already bought the last item before you. In this case, WooCommerce, shown an alert saying that there is no stock and ATUM does the same with restrictions.
This works in the checkout and also in the cart if you have enabled the cart's shipping calculator and change the address from there.
Customers select the zone/warehouse in the product page or they automatically only sees the stock related to the assigned zone? I really prefer the second option, not good to choose it in the product page as it was an attribute of the product.
You can decide what you want to do. By default, the customer zone inventory's stock is shown in the product page and is discounted automatically as configured but you can enable the "Selectable Inventories" feature if wished
Is there a way to select your shipping zone in the home page? I see some big important websites have in the homepage something like a menu with "ship to" where you select your region sometimes integrated with the language selection.
We created 2 ways for choosing the zones: the GeoPrompt and the user destination widget. You can read more about them at the documentation.
Is it working good with wpml (if needed)?
ATUM and all its add-ons are oficially compatible with WPML (https://wpml.org/es/plugin/atum-inventory-management-for-woocommerce/).
The only thing that isn't compatible yet is the WMPL multi-currencies when you enable the multi-price (separated prices for each inventory) functionality in Multi-Inventory. We plan to add support for this in a future version though...
Can I also set different prices per stock? Also both euros or dollars?
You can set different prices per inventory but not in different currencies (as stated above). This could be done with custom development though
Last question.... it would be great if I could set different PayPal accounts, one for zone/stock 1 and another for zone/stock 2.
We don't alter the WooCommerce's payment system in any way. So if you need this, the only way to achieve it would be with custom development.
I hope it's everything clear now 😉
Anyway, if you need to test the add-on before purchasing, you can do so on our demo site.
Best Regards,
Salva.
