Hi dear Atum Support,
I am absolutely happy about your product as it solves my main issue with my organic seeds & nuts shop (single items, raw materials but also mixes with centralized stock management). I set up most of my use cases in the demo shop, but still I have one important thing to solve and I do not know what would be the best way (and I am pretty confident that it is possible with ATUM Product Levels).
For regulatory reasons, I need to be able to trace a batch from my producers (as it is organic food). So a simple example:
I order walnuts from my producer and I need to track down the batch number (e.g. #0017) from him. I would now create a raw product "walnuts", which I use in several other variable products parts and also as sellable raw product.
When I get a new delivery of walnuts (batch #0024) from my producer, I need to update the batch number and link it to my raw material.
In case the first batch would have an issue, I need to be able to track down every single order I sent to my customers, which contained the first batch of walnuts.
I thought about changing the SKU of the raw material if I get a new batch, or is there another, more elegant way?
As I use the same raw material in several products, I would not want to exchange the raw material completely.
How would I be able to track down all orders, which contained the raw material from the first batch?
thanks a lot
Nicolas
