Just upgraded to the new version and now everytime i refresh or change page in ATUM a massive advert pops up (which you cant X out) you have to click off the screen. I dont mind the occasional pop up but this is very intrusive! Anyone else have this too?
Hi thewigster ,
Thank you very much for your post.
It should only show once and you should have an option to close.
Do you have a screenshot of the pop up for me, pls?
Hi Pavel, screen shot attached which appears everytime i change tabs in ATUM (ie when i start to click or scroll up or down in the page) and also the top right X does not close it. Hope this helps
Oh dear, the cross (right top corner) should give you options to close after you hit it. We have not had anyone else having such an issue for a very long time.
Can you tell me what is the version of ATUM, WC, WP and PHP you are using, pls?
Thanks Pavel, i have tried it on my laptop with same issue (both using chrome). I tested with Firefox too but same issue.
ATUM version is 220.127.116.11
WC is 3.6.4
WP is 5.2.2
PHP is 7.2.19
Hope that helps
If the X in the top right corner does not close the popup, could be due to some JS error.
Might you open your browser's console and let me know if you see any errors there, please?
Hi Salva, in chrome i went to the stock central page to show the advert, clicked on F12 and in the console part the only error listed is attached screen print. does that help?
Was that error displayed when you tried to close the popup?
Might you check your PHP error log too, please?
There is a couple of PHP warnings but nothing to do with ATUM (just another plugin). That error listed above seems to be always present.
I just installed the new plugin version just now v18.104.22.168 incase that fixed it but it didn't unfortunately .
There is no need to be related to ATUM. If some of your plugins are generating errors it could prevent the Ajax call that saves the user meta key to not show the popup again from working.
I'd suggest disabling those plugins that are generating errors temporarily and to try to close again. If that doesn't work and want us to investigate the issue for you, please open a private ticket and give us admin credentials.
Thanks Salva - will check it out
Thanks Salva - it was indeed a plugin causing the issue which i believe for me was Woocommerce Admin. I can now click the X to get rid of it. Thanks
Magic, thx for letting us know.
