Export WooCommerce orders with VAT split by tax rate per order

Hello,

I use ATUM Export Pro with WooCommerce and I need to prepare quarterly VAT reports for my accountant in Spain.

I need to export WooCommerce orders with one row per order and VAT split into separate columns by tax rate.

The columns I need are:

Order ID
Order date
Order status
Billing name
Billing email
Order total
Taxable base 4%
VAT amount 4%
Taxable base 10%
VAT amount 10%
Taxable base 21%
VAT amount 21%
Shipping base
Shipping VAT
Exempt / 0% amount, if applicable

Some orders contain products with different VAT rates in the same order, for example products at 21% and 10%, or 21% and 4%.

Can ATUM Export Pro export these values correctly in separate columns per order?

If yes, could you please tell me which fields/settings I should use?

If this requires a custom export field or custom code, could you let me know the recommended approach?

Unfortunately, WooCommerce stores the specific tax rates information in line_items, one per tax rate. This means that you need to export the order, including the tax line items. You can create a custom template with only the fields you need, filtering by line item type, but the exported file will include as many lines per order as tax items it has.

This method would require you to process the data from the export file (perhaps using a spreadsheet program) to obtain the information in the desired format.

It’s also possible to display a single line in the format you requested using custom code, since ATUM includes a wide variety of hooks for customisation, but that’s beyond the scope of our support.

However, here are a few tips:

To display a single line per order, the template can only contain fields from shop_order and possibly wc_order_operational_data.
To add the fields you need (two per VAT type), you can use the filter atum/export/known/orders/default_fields.
Afterwards, to populate the information that should go in each of the fields, you can use atum/export/atum_export_entity/export_row.
