stock quantity does not equal compounded stock quantity

We entered in a few variants, and the compound quantity is 20, but the stock quantity is 0. Please help.

The compound stock quantity is the sum of the stock of all the variations.
But the variable can have, at the same time, its own stock. So it can be 0 (for the variable parent).

So I cannot see the problem.
Or am I misinterpreting something?
