Website crash, afraid to reactivate Stock Central

First of all, I love Stock Central and live and breathe by the ability to see all of my SKUs, filter by categories, etc. So you can imagine that after using it for years, when I had a fatal error and my entire website was down and the only way to get back online was to deactivate ATUM, I have been left floundering around looking in individual variants to find information, and well, I can't live like that!
I should also mention, I am not a web developer. I am a maker who suddenly found herself managing a website (and not doing to bad ;) except when things go wrong!).
Around the time of the crash (which by the way was a couple of weeks ago (2/6 actually), I have just gotten a moment to reach out) I installed a spreadsheet bulk editor. At the same time, I updated my plugins.... so I am not sure if it was an update or that installation that is the true culprit, or the fact that my CleanTalk has been flagging ATUM files as potential malware - but everything just died.... So I went through the troubleshooter and it said ATUM was the culprit. I have been running ok (fine, but I feel like the site is sluggish) and I REALLY WANT TO ACTIVATE ATUM!
...but I am scared. I don't want to do it and lose my website again.

Is there anything that I can do to verify if this was the issue? or have you had other reports?

We cannot know what happened on your site. You have seen that CleanTalk has flagged some files as "potential malware", and if it removed any file from ATUM, that could break your site, indeed. As it would happen if it removes files from WooCommerce or from WordPress or from any other plugin...

We can assure you that there is no malware at all in ATUM code, and that was, for sure, a false positive.

ATUM is actually stable and has no known issues that could cause a crash in the latest version.
If you want to know what is really causing that on your site, with so little info. I would recommend you enable the error logs (if you don't have them enabled yet) and check the logs. If it was enabled when it happened, probably, it was registered there.
