Question: Can ATUM Automatically Email a CSV with ASN Data After PO Generation?

Hi ATUM Community,

I’m exploring ways to streamline our Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) process and wanted to check if ATUM currently supports this functionality:

At the end of the Purchase Order (PO) generation process, can ATUM:
✅ Automatically generate a CSV file with ASN data (SKU, Product Name, Stock Qty, Expiration Date, Batch/Lot Number)?
✅ Email this CSV as an attachment to our warehouse or other recipients?

This would be a huge time-saver, especially for perishable or batch-tracked inventory. If this feature exists:

Where do I configure it?
Can we customize the data fields or email recipients?

If it’s not yet available, I’d love to hear if it’s on the roadmap or if others have workarounds (e.g., exports + third-party tools).

Thanks for your post.

You can generate and send CSV files by mail from your PO using ATUM Export Pro.
However,

You can't automatically trigger an export and mailing after a PO generation.
We haven't worked with ASN before, so we don't know if the exported file would fit your needs.

This feature isn't in our roadmap and we don´t plan to add it in the mid-term.

Anyway, it can be achieved with custom coding (it doesn't seem too difficult or costly). You can contact a good developer to assist you, or if you don't have one and need an estimate for the integration, please open a private ticket, and we can discuss it.

Thank you for your quick response!

I understand that automatic triggering of exports and mailing isn’t currently supported, and that ASN integration isn’t part of your roadmap. However, generating the ASN automatically isn’t necessary or desirable for our workflow, as it needs to be created closer to the delivery time after warehouse clearance.

We’re hopeful that the Export Pro can achieve this manually without requiring additional custom coding. If further clarification or adjustments are needed, please let us know.

I am very sorry to reply in a nagative tone, but Jose is only an external developer in charge of Export PRO and its support. My company and I at this very moment do not plan to invest into increasing the functions of Export PRO. My main focus is on making sure our users have the functions they have paid for and they work flawlesly.

As Jose said, any developer can process this code for you, but we can not be responsible for its maintenance.

Jose works for an external company that develops and maintains ATUM for us. They will be happy to do the job for you I am sure, you just need to approach them yourself.

Thank you for your prompt and transparent response—I appreciate the clarity regarding Export PRO’s development roadmap and support structure. I completely understand your focus on ensuring stability for existing functionality, and I respect that decision.
