ATUM stock management not detecting stock values

I recently setup a staging site to begin importing and preparing everything before going live.

I used ATUM Export pro to bulk upload all the suppliers and products onto my site. But have encountered a strange problem. Every product that was uploaded was uploaded with ATUM inventory management enabled in the CSV, but under the ATUM dashboard, it does not show any "Out of Stock" items. It sees everything, incl. the ones with 0 in stock, as an in stock item.

When i go into each products settings, i have confirmed the ATUM control switch is enabled. The only way i have been able to get ATUM to track the stock is to switch this option off, update the product, then enable the switch again. After this the product shows up on the dashboard under "out of stock" but to do this for all 2100+ products is simply not feasible.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Product statuses aren't modified until the product is updated and one of the stock-related properties changes. That's why you have to change the field, save the product, and change it again.

I assume you imported the products with the _stock_status field included. You must include the atum_stock_status (ATUM calc stock status in the templates screen) too. That should result in your products being displayed with the correct stock status.

The fastest way to set this field would be by using ATUM Export Pro to update the products. You can create a custom template with only the mandatory fields, plus the atum_stock_status, export the products, modify the CSV with the correct status, and import back using the 'update' option.
