SKU Metadata

Hi,
Is the SKU also saved as Metadata? And if so, what table?
I am trying to set up a connection between my WooCommerce store and Bol.com, and the plugin needs to read the EAN, which I set as SKU. But when I choose _sku, it doesn't seem to be able to read it properly. I think it might have to do with how ATUM saves the SKU.
