Can't add multiple entries of same item to purchase order

I have a few generic variable items, attached to a generic supplier, in my inventory for one-off purchases from individuals who I don't have as suppliers. This is done simply for cost tracking for the goods.

These items have variation attributes info that I manually edit per line entry on Purchase Orders to differentiate them, like Description, Serial Number, etc. I have been using this functionality for several years. I can now no longer add mutiple line entries on one Purchase Order for the same SKU. If I try to add the same SKU again, I get "No matches found" below the "Add products" search box. I need this functionality back.

Thank you very much for your post.

There may be a little confusion as the SKU field behaviour is control by WooCommerce, not ATUM. Unless you are talking about some different text field? The SKU has to be unique and if it already exists in WooCommerce you can not enter it for another product.

Forum_Admin You aren't understanding what I'm saying.

I am trying to make a PO in Atum. I add a SKU, say "Generic Coat" to the PO. This item is a Generic product I use to track one-off purchases that are always different. It has Attributes of "Description" and "Size," let's say. These Attributes are set to a generic "XXXX" in the Product, but I edit them on each PO to describe what has been purchased. I add the generic product "Generic Coat" to the PO, and I'll set Description to something like "Furr coat" and Size to "Large" or something similar. If I purchase two of the type Generic Coat with different descriptions and sizes, I obviously need to add multiple entries for it in the PO, and edit the Attributes as required. This used to not be a problem. However, recently, Atum will not allow me to enter two lines of the same SKU to a PO.

Now I understand what you are talking about. Well it is a little bit more complicated from here and I apologise ahead.

The ability to add one product more than once into the PO was actually a bug not a feature. We have had many users complaing about it so we have fixed it in version 1.9.44.

We know now that 2 users including you took advantage of this bug thinking it is the way it should work. I apologise about that as it was an oversight. The only way you can take advantage is to return back to version 1.9.43.x but then you may experience issues with incompatibility in the future.

The other user that had the same work flow as you decided to use our Multi Inventory premium addon that actually allows him to add more inventories per product and keep even better track.

Once again, I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
