Multi-Inventory creation & Multi-inventory Filtering

Thank you very much for the plugin and Add-ons, very cool features.

I have a couple of questions, I see in the forum one of them is asked many times, but It's still not clear to me…

1- How to create Multi-inventory for ALL products.

I understand the ATUM Export PRO, and it works very well. The question is, each inventory has a different ID?? If I create the same inventory name for each product, it gives a different ID to each inventory?? I have more than 1,000 inventory ID's… can't they be the same ID?? This is a problem for integrating with different systems.

Example, inventory “Samara” ID - 200 for “Product 1” is it possible that for “Product 2” uses the same ID - 200? Or it will always be a different inventory? This is very confusing since it's supposed to be the SAME inventory...

First of all, the IDs you refer to aren't correct, and it's an example with one product.... could you please give me a guide on how to do it for many products, including VARIABLE products??

2- Filtering in Stock Central & Stock Take

How can I filter products of a specific inventory? I want to see all my products in inventory, “Samara” for example.

Also in the Stock Take, I want to filter by inventory… we have different managers for each location (inventory) that are supposed to do the count, but only that particular inventory, not all of them... So I want to filter the products of that specific inventory... how can we do this?

3- How do I Specify for front-end which inventory to use?? I only want one specific inventory (ecommerce) to be used...

4- How can I transfer stock from one inventory to another??? So that there is a log for this transaction?

To give more context on the need of the same Inventory ID.

I want to integrate with Zapier, so when an order is made on another system of ours, we send the order to WooCommerce, but we need to specify from which inventory to deduct stock. Depending on where in our system, the purchase is made.

Example.
Buq System - Purchase is made in location “Samara”
User bought:
1 bottle of water.
1 T-shirt.

I send via Zapier the order to WooCommerce.
We send products “SKU” in a loop (to match products) and the “Location ID” that must match it with the “Inventory ID” if we have thousands of inventories this is going to be impossible… If we have 10 ID, we can make a glossary matching each location with inventory. We could also use “Inventory Name”???

Hi buq ,

Thanks for your post and interest in our plugins.

1.-

One important thing you need to know is that inventories are unique per product. There's no "Global inventory", and you can't use the same inventory for distinct products.

To add additional products to the example, please add a new row and set the new product's ID, The inventory IDs you set when importing are only taken as reference, the new ID will be sequentially assigned when the inventory is inserted (it is a SQL autonumeric field).

Also, please note that inventories only can be assigned to variations, so when creating inventories for a variation, you should set the variation's ID as the product ID.

You can filter by inventory's name in Stock Central or a Stock Take if you choose the Product name from the Dropdown

3.-
What do you mean? Do you want customers to be able to select the inventory to use?
Or do you want to keep only one of the inventories available to customers? In this case, please read 1 and 2.

4.-

FYI, we have a tool to perform these inventory transfers automatically in our TODO list, but I can't give you an ETA.

I don't know how Zapier can specify the "Inventory" when saving orders to WooCommerce, but I imagine that it will use the ATUM API. If so, please take into account that you'll need the inventory ID, and it won't work without it (you can execute a previous step to ask the API for the ID of the inventory with the name "X" for the product "Y").
