Performance Issues with Larger Stores

Hi Team,

We are having issues with the program timing out and waiting for a response whilst we are configuring stock with barcodes, suppliers and purchase prices. Is there issues with stores like ours that have over 7000 products? Our products lines are growing constantly so im wondering if this product has scale.

We have tried the export pro add-on but that also seem to get stuck and not progress so we abandoned that, shame because i think it's a feature we will need to manage pricing updates.

Like everyone we are super keen to see the app hopefully the 3 year wait is nearly over. Overall really happy with this plugin just hoping it can grow with us.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Where do you are experiencing issues with time response? In Stock Central? Or in any additional pages?

If you're talking about Stock Central, when do you experience the issues? When loading the page? When updating the properties?

The Export Pro add-on should work for pricing updates. If you experienced problems when using it, you should have asked us for help. Please note that importing is a resource-intensive task, and the amount of time and memory required is directly proportional to the number of fields and products to be imported.

Regarding the app, we're working on the documentation and fixing the last bugs before releasing it. We expect to release it before the end of September.

Timing issues are only happening with Stock Central, typically when trying to save barcodes, Supplier and Supplier SKU's. I have found that if i refresh the Stock Central page every couple of pages worth of updates this stops it happening.

We have pretty decent CPU, memory and storage so i dont think its got anything to do with that, we haven't seen any faults of issues with cPanel its only inside the ATUM plugin. Not a big one, we appreciate we are working with a lot of data.

The Export Pro should have worked you are correct, we had decreased the scale of what we wanted in the report to bare minimum, essentially only asking for the core components as well as barcodes and suppliers and it downloaded in super speed but the upload was left for around 40 min and it failed to progress so we canceled the import.

We will try ExportPro again once the database is completed, we have decided to just do all the barcodes, suppliers etc manually. A long and lengthy process but we know its correct.

FYI, no matter the number of products you have because the data shown in Stock Central is paginated. You can try to reduce the number of products shown per page from the Screen Options tab at the top to know if it works better for you.

When the export pro fails, it is usually due to memory limits or lack of server resources. But to be sure, you can download the PHP error log and check what happened there.
