Product Part is actual product

Our client has a few bundled deals on their site (complete packs etc) that are made up of a few actual products and some boxes etc.

It seems that all the components need to be set up as Product Parts but some should really be Simple/Variable products in WooCommerce. So they are doubling up items by having to have a Product Part item for the bundle and a Simple Product for the shop.

This is making a mess of the inventory as both products actually relate to the same thing.

Is there not a way to add a simple/variable product as a product part but leave it as a simple/variable product so it is available to purchase individually?

Please, just mark the products and variations you want to be available for purchase as sellable. It should work.
