Only use BOM stock control on some products

Is it possible to only use BOM stock control on some products? For some products I want to be able to produce items according to BOM, but on others I want it controlled by the BOM.

For example:

Product A = BOM Controlled
-- Product Part A = Produce from BOM
-- Product Part B = Produce from BOM

Unfortunately, that isn't possible. The product items option is only available when BOM Stock control is disabled.

The only way to work with the produce items option and BOM Stock control together is when also using ATUM Multi-Inventory. You can read how they would work together in this article (Scenarios 2 and 3). Maybe Scenario 2 will fit your needs.
