Purchase 1 Product for all variations

Hello,

I sell products that have price variations on each product, but the variation is done in the shop.

When I buy from my supplier I only need to order one product and I use that one for any variation necessary.

How can I create a PO for the parent Item only. Not the variations. But still keep the variations active in Woocommerce.

For example:

Parent Product: a box
variation1: a box with a cheap engraving
variation2: a box with a medium engraving
variation3: a box with a expensive engraving

When I buy the box from the supplier I just buy the box, and can use the same box for the 3 variations.
If any variation is sold, the stock for all variations drops by one.

Thanks for you post.

That's not possible as you want.

The only possibility I see is using ATUM Product Levels.

With it, you can set a BOM product linked to all variations. If you enable the BOM Stock Control option, every time a variation is sold, all the stock levels would be decreased too.

You can also use the BOM product in Purchase Orders, so when the Order is received, all stocks will be updated.

I'm now using ATUM Product Levels successfully but i find that i need to run the Tools>Sync WooCommerce stock with calculated stock every time I make a sale.

Is there a way to set up a cron job? What url can I use to set up this cron job?

The calculation should be done automatically every time an order is processed. Perhaps you have some 3rd party plugin that is causing this issue. I'd suggest you try to disable all your plugins except ATUm, WooCommerce, and Product Levels and try to process an order that way, if it works, you can start enabling them back one by one until you find the conflict.

Also, is there a way to have two suppliers for the same product?

This is only achievable with our Multi-Inventory add-on. With it, you can create as many inventories per product as you need and assign different suppliers to each one.

Hi lula29i ,

There isn't a gross profit report.

However, you can use ATUM Export Pro to export sales for a given month. Then, you can make your calculations in your preferred spreadsheet software.

I'm using Export Pro, but can't find the variable for purchase cost in the orders (or any other) export.

The variable "Cost" is empty but I have filled the purchase cost field in every product variation.

Can you tell me which export contains the Purchase Cost?

pd. I can see Purchase Cost in the Products Export, but that's of no use to me since I need it in the orders export to be able to calculate de order total cost.

Hi lula29i ,

The Purchase Price isn't included in the Orders entity, so it isn't available from the Orders export. That's why I told you about Spreadsheet software. You can easily relate a sheet with the product info with a sheet with the Order's info to get what you want with a few calculations.

There exist two additional possibilities that would imply some custom development on your part:

Add the Purchase Price to the Orders Export entity.
Include the Purchase Price in the item's meta fields when creating the order so it's available for creating a custom template.

FYI, custom development is out of the scope of our support, so you'd need to contact a good developer (or the agency behind ATUM's development through Codeable) to assist you in these last cases.
