Problems updating purchase price

I want variables of a single product.
When I select variable product purchase price is removed from general tab. I have created som scripts that show this input. But price is not saved to database.
Stock control is in main product and not variation, without a purchase price it is not possible to calculate inventory value. Is it possible to save this price?

Thanks for your post.

Variable products in WooCommerce store price in variations (you have to set prices per variation), and also does ATUM with the purchase price. It's not possible to add such field at the variable level, sorry.
