Out of Stock threshold reached in one order

A variable item has been set up with an out of stock threshold of 1.
Currently there are 3 items in stock.
A customer wants to order 3 items, which means the out of stock threshold is reached, yet the system doesn't prevent them from purshasing 3 items and now the the stock level is 0.
Shouldn't the system allow the customer to purchase only two of the three items?

Hi mcrew ,

We use the same logic as WooCommerce in ATUM free for the out-of-stock status. We only introduced the possibility of adding such value per product.

WooCommerce works this way: all three products can be purchased at a time. However, if the customer purchases only two, the out-of-stock threshold is reached and the product can't be bought again.

I'm not sure we are on the same page.
If I set the out of stock threshold to 3, and the current stock is 4, doesn't it mean the system should prevent a customer to add a quantity of 2 to his cart, as this will take the stock below the out of stock threshold?

So you are saying the system won't prevent a customer in my example above?

Yes, we're on the same page.

In your case, the customer can buy the four units because that is the stock available. If the customer buys only one, the stock reaches zero, and nobody can purchase the product again (because it's out-of-stock).
