PO over stock

We have suppliers send us more stock than ordered to fill box amounts, we can change the received amount to less than ordered but not more than ordered, and then cant add the item again as its already on the PO. how do we edit the incoming amount after he PO has been sent

As @Geusdiervoeding says, that is the easiest way to get what you want.

Another possibility would be to create complementary orders, though that would be more time-consuming.

We change the amount in the PO order first, save the PO and after that, u can add all the items.
