Different LOT/Batch numbers to same stock

Hi,

We've bought the multi inventory add-on and have some issues.

Sample product
Main Inventory - Lot Number AAA. Stock Quantity of = 100
Main Inventory - Lot Number BBB. Stock Quantity of = 500
Main Inventory - Lot Number CCC. Stock Quantity of = 200

I'm not sure if it's possible to add different lot numbers to the same inventory or if we should create a new inventory everytime we get a new Lot number. If that's the case we'll end up with way too many inventories?

What's the solution, and why isn't it possible to add lot numbers on PO?

It isn't possible to add different batches to the same inventory. However, you could extend the current batch number as wished (I'm not sure whether this will suit you though).
So, for example, you create a new inventory and add the batch "BATCH1" to it, later, you receive more items and want to add them to the same inventory, so you add the items to it and change the batch to "BATCH1-BACH2" and so on...
