PAGE UNRESPONSIVE WHEN INPUTTING SUPPLIER DETAILS INTO STOCK CENTRAL

Everytime I try to input the supplier into stock central the page freezes and I have to restart stock central. I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING PAGE UNRESPONSIVE - please can this be looked into as we need to use this feature.

And regarding your issue, that's very weird. Which browser are you using, please?
And did you try with another browser?

I am using chrome and this is the same on both computers I've tried, we urgently need to use this feature - our developers said it is a fault with the addon.

But no matter the computer. Sometimes this kind of issue can be caused by a Chrome extension. That's why I said to test on another browser (Firefox, for example) in order to know this.

You've said that your developers said that this is caused by ATUM. Do they have some clue or proof of this, please?
An error or something like that could help us to figure out the cause...

Hi Salva, I've tried it on safari and it also freezes and then crashes and says page responsive - this is new by the way it always worked previously. I input the supplier into the column on stock central, and the text is red, but when I go to save it the whole page freezes and I have to reload the site. I really need to get this fixed urgently as it's preventing me from doing tasks which I need to complete. thanks

You are the only user having this weird issue. So, perhaps it could be due to some kind of conflict with any 3rd party plugin.
Please note that we cannot figure out what is causing that on your specific case if we aren't able to reproduce it ourselves...

The first thing you can try is to disable all your plugins except WooCommerce and ATUM and check if it works that way.

We had the same problem, upgrading our vps makes it works perfect now. Atum is quite heavy i think.

Good to know that you were able to manage this issue.
FYI, ATUM itself is not heavy. Just that, in order to calculate some sales props, if your database is big (thousands of orders), the SQL queries that are needed for such calculations can take time to run. That's why a big part of these calculations are scheduled at night and run in the background. So, sometimes, it's just a kind of adjusting the server to your needs (mainly the resources handled by the MySQL server according to the size of your database).

Hi Salva, I have heard back from our developers regarding the isue, I'm not entirely sure what he means by it but I'm hoping you can make sense of it - 'I spent several hours investigating the issue and I discovered both specific steps required to reproduce the issue as well as the exact place in the plugin's code that is causing the issue. So I have a blank website with just Woocommerce and ATUM Inventory Management for the WooCommerce plugin. I don't have any pages, orders, etc. just products. And if you go to the ATUM Stock Central and try to set a supplier 'test supplier' for any product you will get the error. If you select another supplier there will be no error.
The difference is that other suppliers on the blank website have ids of around 1000 and the test supplier has the id of 2027307. The reason for the problem is that
the command highlighted in yellow below runs the same number of times as the supplier's id so in that case 2027307 times causing the browser to hang. I believe this is an error
that should be resolved by the plugin supplier. I can give access to this website to them if required as this is a blank website without any order information.
I also believe that we will have to charge for my time investigating it as it is clearly a plugin error that is not related to anything else. thanks so much

At first sight, what your developer says makes no sense to me. I don't understand how the ID of any supplier can affect this. Also, it isn't getting any ID in that piece of code...
Perhaps, it would help if you give us access to that site where you could reproduce it only with WooCommerce and ATUM.

I think I am having a similar experience. Any time I try to assign a supplier in Stock Central, I get page unresponsive and when it does respond the says out of memory. Seems like a runaway process.

This thread is 7 months old, so it should be already fixed. I don't know if your issue is related or not.
Are you using the latest ATUM version?
