Dear support team,
We bought your plugins and are currently testing it in our staging site before we rollout to production site. Unfortunately it was our surprise when we saw the usage of multi-currency, which has become a blocking point for us.
I explain how our type of companies usually work with multiple currencies:
You negotiate prices with some suppliers in EUR and some other suppliers in USD. You want to have this information set somewhere in your system so when the sourcing team needs to make a new purchase can just click create PO for this part, and the price is loaded automatically with the correct value and currency.
With your implementation, all buying prices are stored in EUR, and when someone wants to create a PO, needs to enter the exact exchange rate to match the agreed USD price with the supplier. This exchange rate will be far from real. So it will be storing wrong information, plus double work than now: go check to the other database the USD price for this supplier, go to ATUM, make a manual division to calculate the correct exchange rate so the price appears in the PO correctly.
We will be happy to receive an explanation for which use case was your implementation designed for.
