That sounds great. Would love to see the ability to assign names to the units, so for example we would see kg next to the unit amount. Is that possible?
We're currently building a 2.0 of our site in Woo so essentially are starting from scratch, so we have the nice situation of being able to build around our plans and make the site scalable as we start to see decent growth.
I may be going about the product creation planning wrong but my thinking was this:
- We have 10kg of our roasted beans delivered to our store (we buy green beans from farms and do the roasting but are keeping this first stage off the platform as the loss in roasting will skew the weights and calculations, so a complete roast to our standards is what we start from as a product).
- At the store we bag 20x 250g bags (5kg) and send these to our fulfilment centre in Holland, keeping 5kg at the store for local delivery
- On our Woocommerce store a user from Holland, Belgium or France will see we have stock, and the same goes for local territories. The Dutch centre shows out of stock for 100g bags as they only had 250g delivered (they only fulfil orders and don't bag the coffee), but the local store shows both in stock as we have 5kg that can be bagged to form the two variables.
Would we be able to split things this way on ATUM or would we need unique skus for orders from Holland, Belgium and France, along with any other distribution zones we end up with? This is all of course reliant on the "warehouse and multiplication management" having the right features. 🙂 Also how long is that module away from completion?
All the best,
Paul
PS Thanks for being so responsive to questions, it really builds trust in your brand. I can see from how you respond to all the queries in the forum that you care about the business, so we'll go with you guys regardless. We just want to get a picture of how we implement the solution now and what can be done going forwards.
