Bug with Flat Rate Shipping

Hello,

I recently ran into a problem with flat rate shipping.
With flat rate shipping you can choose between two types. You can either calculate the shipping price per order or per class. So when order is selected the most expensive shipping class of all products is used for shipping. When class is selected the prices of all the shipping classes are added together.
In this shop we normally use order, but I just discovered this type is broken when Multi Inventory is activated.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused. I guess Flat Rate Shipping is a third-party plugin. Taking this into account, note that we have just tested the compatibility of ATUM with the plugins you will see on this documentation: https://forum.stockmanagementlabs.com/d/2383-atum-compatibility

With the rest, we can't make sure it will work. At this point, you have two options:

Looking for a compatible alternative.
Using custom development to add the compatibility, but as we don't offer this service you will need to hire a developer.

Hi,

I talked about the default flat rate shipping method. It isn't an extra plugin. I think it is called "Domestic Flat Rate" in the english WooCommerce version.

I am having this issue.

If I have 4 products added from the same class, rather than just charging the shipping once, it charges it 4 times over. If I have items added from 2 different shipping classes it only adds the shipping cost from the class highest in the list and again if multiple items of the same class it will multiple the cost by how many from that class are in the basket.

I've found a strange behavior, but I'm not sure if it is exactly the same as yours. So I need you to confirm it.

I enabled this option:

I've created a product with 3 inventories, and first I've tested it by setting the 'test c' (in the screenshot) shipping class in all the inventories, and then I set to inventory 1 'test a', and to inventory 2 'test b'. And the shipping value was exactly the same in both cases: 32: 10*3 of shipping and 2 of the cost). Which is incorrect as it should be 12, but I would like to know if you are experimenting the same issue as me in order to keep investigating.

I do have two products in my cart. The first one has the shipping class marked in red and the other one has the shipping class marked in green.

The "calculation type" is set to "per order". So the most expensive shipping class should be used. In my example it should use the red shipping class as it's costs are 50 and the green one are 10. Instead it calculates shipping costs of 60 which is the two shipping classes combined. You can see this in the cart screenshot.

I marked everything in the screenshots to help you out because the website is in German.
