Yes, that is something we will add as we progress with Product Levels.
Currently you do only control front end stock manually and the Product Levels premium add-on tells you how much of RM and PP you need to fulfil the stock you made available for sale. When you make a sale the stock of RM and PP decreases automatically.
Right now as we speak, our devs work on the next upgrade where the user sets auto stocking the front end by the amount of RM and PP available. This is very complex thing to develop so we have split the function into two features:
- Simple BOM Control - one RM or PP only belongs to one final product. - this will not be difficult to develop and I hope we can release this end of the year.
- Advanced BOM Control - very complex as you need to create a code to control one RM or PP to belong to endless amount of products. One RM can belong to another RM as well. You need to know what product to stock first and what product to set out of stock first, etc. Well tons of variables that will take little longer to develop. We have a great way of rules already prepped for development to achieve it so happy days.
As well as that you need to understand that we have Multi Inventory add-on out now and that gives the above even deeper control. When combining MI and PL add-ons you get endless possibilities that you will not find anywhere else.
Picking lists we will make after this is all out so we do not have to rework the picking list code afterwords in case we change something along the way. Same for Manufacturing Orders that will come after as a separate addition.
