Hi bkingsfirearms
This is how product levels works.
When a product has multiple levels of BOMs (and as long as the BOM Stock control is enabled, of course), all levels that have children (all except the last level), have the stock calculated. And in those that have calculated, we do not deduct directly.
What we do is count from top to bottom according to the quantity purchased of the parent product and multiply by the proportions of each child and subtract the resulting total from the last child. Once everything has been subtracted from the last one, the whole open is recalculated (from bottom to top) and all the calculated ones are adjusted to the new stock.
To deactivate BOM stock control, you can do it from general settings (ATUM settings > Product Levels).
Best Regards,
Andrea.
