Has this changed? The documentation suggests that changing to completed updates the current stock levels automatically now. Is there a way to update stock levels per product as this thread suggests?

This thread is very old (October 2018). This has changed since WooCommerce started to do so for Orders (I think to remember since WC version 3.5). So the stock increases automatically when you complete the PO. In the other side, the Inventory Logs still work manually (you have to increase/decrease the stocks, if needed, using the corresponding buttons).

Ok thanks Salva. By the way when the purchase order is completed does it transfer all inbound stock to current stock, or does it consider reserved stock as well?

You will be able to distribute the stock at your will.
Ok but how is it distributed? Do you distribute as you complete the purchase order or is it through inventory logs after the PO is completed?
You will have a fully functional PO completion wizard. Inventory Logs play no role.
Are you talking about the PO extension in development? I don't see a PO completion wizard in the interface as yet.

Yes, that will be part of the future PO Premium add-on. Actually, when you complete a PO, all the inbound stock within that order is automatically moved to the current stock (increasing it) as you've correctly said. Just test it out to better understand how it works 😉

Also, will it be possible when a PO is completed, to move some inbound stock to reserved stock and some to current stock?

There is no beta yet and don't have a date for now as this will be released together with 3 more add-ons (all of them related). All of them should be ready before the end of this year.
