AndreaRebel Usually, the vast majority of the users have enough with putting 2 numbers.
I can't talk for other countries but in Canada we're very often stuck dealing with Pounds and Grams all the time. In this specific case, my customer is selling 500g out of boxes of 20lbs (or 9.07 kg) of materials (as sold by the factory, usually imported from the USA).
So in that example, 1x 500g item is 500g/9070g = 0.0551 parts of that 20lbs box.
Trust me, I wish we were dealing with the Metric system for everything.
As for you suggestion of dealing with it with css, I would but I cant because the code specifies !important:
.linked-boms .linked-bom input[type=number], .linked-boms .linked-bom input[type=text] {
width: 50px !important;
min-width: 50px !important;
height: 22px;
text-align: center;
float: none;
-webkit-box-shadow: none;
box-shadow: none;
border-radius: 5px;
border-color: transparent;
background-color: #fff;
color: #6c757d;
display:inline-block !important
}
BOTH on the width and min-width. So this essentially kills any further modifications - I don't see why !important
is required in that css, tbh
