Inventory / stock level at a specific date.

Hi,
I'm looking for the option to extract the inventory / stock level of my products at a specific date, is this possible ?
I was thinking of using export pro addon and the set it to generate a export of the inventory/stock level once a month, will that work.
But I will also need historic data, Can I do that ?

Hi Solhaug

Yes, with Export PRO, you can schedule exports. And when an export is performed, the current snapshot of your database is exported, so you can compare with previous values, etc.

Regarding the historical data, you should compare your exported files.
Although, not sure if will suit you but with our Action Logs add-on, everything that happens to your stock levels is registered at the time it happens and perhaps you could use this information for historical data.
Actually is not possible to export these logs with our Export PRO add-on but it's a feature that we plan to add in a future version.

If I install Export PRO today 6. jannary 2021, can I them export the stock level for 31. december 2020?

As I said on my previous message, what the export gets is a current snapshot of your database and in your database, are not saved historical values of your products' stocks.
Perhaps it could be achieved if you export all the orders made since December 31st and sum up the quantities sold for a specific item. So, knowing the amount sold since then and knowing the current stock, it's easy to know the stock that product had at that specific date (just summing the sold items to the current stock).

Using the Action Logs add-on, you could read all the historical stock changes to any product, so you can know on a specific date (if the stock changed) which was exact value by then. But the add-on will start logging when you install it (so there won't be logs for past dates).

Where can i see the stock value for a specific date that has already been?

Please read all the posts in this thread. The same responses my colleague Salva gave then are valid now.

ATUM Export Pro only exports the current stock.
