Hi,
thank you for your answer and sorry for my late response..
You can create a zone for every single delivery time and add it to inventories? Have you tried if that works?
No, that is not possible. Even if the delivery time would be able to be set there, that is not what we want.
Let me explain it with an example:
Product A has 2 variations B and C
B is on stock
C is in 2 purchase orders, the first one will arrive next week, the second one will arrive in 90 days. (it is already available for customers to buy)
B has delivery time "3 days"
C currently has delivery time "7 days" (delivery time of the first purchase order).
Currently, we set the delivery time per variation, so we have to manually set "3 days" for B, "7 days" for C.
Naturally, it is very uncomfortable for us to manage these stocks, because we have to set/change the delivery times very often when the purchase orders are fulfilled.
With multi-inventory, it would be technically possible to set several warehouses/inventories for C to respect the purchase orders which will be fulfilled in the future.
Example for variation C:
C is coming next week and in 90 days, so it gets 2 additional inventories:
inventory 1 = purchase order # 1, is set to "5"
inventory 2 = purchase order # 2, is set to "5"
Now, we need the delivery time "per inventory", so we can display at the variation C that the delivery time is 7 days and after 5 items are sold, it automatically changes to 90 days as warehouse/inventory 2 is now in charge.
Long story short, I need a date per inventory to calculate the delivery time.
I could possibly use the "bbe date" to solve that. Do you have some snippet I can use to request the bbe date of the first available inventory to calculate the delivery time? Then I could extend our functionality without changing your plugin.
I hope, I made my point clear. If you have a different approach, I would be pleased to hear it.
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Christoph
